Wow, I get my own diary on the World Wide Web. Awesome. This is going to be my lovely little rant page. I love to rant, and it comes easier when I'm writing it out. WARNING: I write a lot when I rant. Be prepared. :)

Hello Everybody!

Ok, I seriously don't know if anyone will read this, but I can't say that that concerns me to terribly. Blogs, to me, a purely to rant. No offense to those who write to get a message out. I'm a writer too, so I understand.
Well, I'm going to start off by saying that , man, should we ever be thankful for music! I've been having some difficult times with friends, and without music, I swear, I'd've lost my mind.
Music seems to be the best way for me to get things out. I write songs and stuff, so it would make sense, hm? Now, I'm not going to go aead and say that all music helps one with personal problems. No, that's not true at all. I mean, how exactly would "I'm Too Sexy" help you get over a divorce or a big fight? It might make you laugh, but that's really it.
I've always thought that the lyrics were the best part of a song. They seem to be the piece that really strikes a person deeply and makes them think. And for some reason, it's always the more obscure bands (you know what I'm talking about) that have the best lyrics.
Personally, I think that's a shame. I mean, what good is music if it can't speak to you? I've never understood why the "popular" songs reached so many. If anyone has a reason, I'd love to hear it. But so far, I've got nothing.
I know that not all pop songs have crappy lyrics all about drugs and sex (although most of them these days are. ) SOme actually have good messages. One in particular that many like right now is What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction. I won't deny that it is a song with a good message. Everyone needs to hear that they're beautiful, and that song accomplishes that.
Well, I'm done my rant for now. If anyone actually reads this, thank you. I appreciate it.
