The Mark of the Beast and a Cashless Society?

Itβs looking more and more like a plot to a dystopian novel. We are being pushed to accept a cashless monetary system. Couple that with an apps that can track your every move and you have the book of Revelations π

I'm still waiting for the 'rapture' which is actually a metaphore for an end to prehistoric mindsets and the beginning of an enlightened society. : (

Bill Gates is a horrifying beast... He actually patented an implant which would allow for what you described above.

"We have God-like technology with prehistoric mindsets." - Hope is F*cked by Mark Manson. Well...he said something a long those lines.

Ooh, ooh! Another thing, the Beast is actually a metaphore specifically representing the Roman Empire's lust for power. The book of Revelations was a prediction of how Rome would eventually take Christianity and turn it into an empire to have power and influence over people. It's still very relevant today as history repeats itself.

@ausersite: When you say that older people are not good with money you really are making a generalisation. There are plenty of older people who are good with managing money just like there are plenty of your people who are really bad at managing money.
I agree that a cashless society wouldn't be a bad thing. It's not the process but how the process is both implemented and used. Image if for some reason you do or say something that puts you at odds with the government. The powers that be could easily cancel your ability to buy essential items or to travel. In China where they have Social Credits people are already being sanctioned for not behaving as they are told to act π

@ausersite: If you talk to some radical greenies theyβll say humans are a bacteria that is killing the world.
