OMG I remember this show! It was kinda' trying to compete with The Simpson's but couldn't. However it was very popular at the time! I vaguely remember being able to buy hand puppets of the characters. Think it came out in 1990 - 1991?

I remember one episode was about going to war against another type of dinosaurs over pistachio nuts. It was an obvious criticism of the Gulf War (1990-1991). I remember watching it thinking 'awwwww, I watch this because I wanna' get away from political issues for a while.' : - (

Almost all forms of entertainment is social and agenda driven. Just as an example of some 1960-1970’s funtainment.

Popeye the Sailor = Sell Spinach
Adam Ant = Push Nuclear Power

Can you think of any? 🦊

No but HEAPS of episodes of Star Trek ( Next Generation and pretty much all the spin off series) are pretty good at incorporating political issues into their stories.
