Open your eyes
The morning is prying at your lids
Beauty is clawing at your insides
Let it out
Its seeping through your mouth
In words I can not repeat
Your voice holds them together
A melody I wish I could immitate
And that fragile smile that follows
I will do my best to protect it
The world is a cold place
And you should be sheltered
When the moon comes out
And the sun is sleeping
I will hold you
I will keep that smile safe
No harm done
I want to preserve your being
Cherish all that I have come to love
So when daybreak comes
I might hear that sweet voice once more
Its your inner beauty
Sneaking past your lips
Grant me a kiss
So perhaps I can feel it inside me
And you will see it in my eyes
