I take refuge in your memory

The time we could not help but dread

That time were I lie awake at night, crying

Coz the memory of you is still so fresh in my head

When I can remember how you smelt

When I can still picture your smile

As it was my cheek that you caressed


Then when I awake

And realize you are no longer here

I wish with all my heart

That this distance and these tears would clear

As I lay down

This paper and this pen

I close my eyes to dream of you
