Goth and Alternative online events.

During these difficult times it's good to see so many goth/alternative clubs putting on virtual online events for the local subculture community. Four Australian goth clubs from different cities held an combined online event last night. I see Slime Light in London and other iconic goth/alternative clubs are running online events in these difficult times.

Anyone else know of any? Has anyone joined in? What are your thoughts and experiences?

Apart from being a song by Razed in Black, I have no idea what OMG is? Is it a club or....?

OMG is a Goth themed event held at Reload (Bar/Video Arcade) once a month. I've been going to these things since 2003 but the event had changed venues and names over the years from Lithium to Chrome and now they've named it OMG. Canberra's rather conservative so it's not a big event and unfortunatley places like Reload are rare and small. : (

I know Lithium and Chrome. I know one of the djs that ran them. Glad there is still something running.
Sanctuary night club in Sydney lost it's venue late last year. It was so convenient and easy to find parking too.

Awesome! Those were the days. I remember Lithium being held at Toast. They closed it down in 2007 because of "noise complaints" which is outraigous becuase there are other venues near residence in the city that make just as much noise but remain open.

BTW for everyone else, Toast was an alternative cafe during the day and bar at night. It was like the UN of sub-cultures because on a normal night you'd get Goths, Punks, Greenies, uni students and people who just finished work at the office all hanging out in one place.

I Just watched the video of Oh My Goth you posted Karl. I love that it opened with Project Pitchfork - Time Killer. Great track. Most of the music I heard was electro industrial, ebm, future pop, synth pop etc.
Interestingly I know two of the people in the video. One of them was on VF for a while and comes from New Castle way. He was the one wearing the PVC lolita outfit and I know the blonde he was with.
Nice to hear New Order and a laugh to hear Ah-Ha. I guess they didn't take any footage of the goth or darkwave sets. Looks like everyone was having a good time which is what I love about alternative clubs.
