It's always odd talking to my best friends mom.
Especially when you start talking to them about their kids in a past tense.
It's just off, ya know...

Well my best friend from way back when killed himself a month and a few weeks after we last hung out.
I wasn't aware that anything was wrong until I got a random message on FB from some chick I didn't know asking me "How did Ben die?"

I went from confused, to completely pissed off thinking it was a joke, to frozen, to just....awful.
...
Losing the people you love is never easy.
And just a piece of info, you really can OD on too much coffee. I was getting pretty close to that without realizing it.

ANYWAYS... Every time I talk to this woman..
The conversations are so slow, drawn out, and just strange.
It's like we've got it all wrong and he's really standing behind one of us and we feel stupid for even talking about him in a past tense.
Have you ever felt like that?
Just..wrong?... for evn letting yourself think they're really gone?

Especially when people spread rumors about HOW they died that arent true
Like people were saying Benji shot himself on campus cuz he was crazy or in a church cuz hes satanic (hereally had no religion idiots) and crap like that and i chewed a lot of people out.
& Benji was 18
Died somewhere early September 2010 cuz he was missing for like apparently a week and it was on the news but i didn't know till he was found..
I've gotten better about it, but even thought its been like a year and a few months...it's still weird.
