Hi everyone

Thanks for your continued time and patience! I've made a major change to our database lately.
Due to the nature of this update and the size, if any of you notice anything out of the ordinary when deleting things such as comments, posts, topics, etc then please let me or an admin know. I've been preparing this change for weeks and found no issues so far.

This change will aid me massively when we launch the new site. I've also made a number of bug fixes recently. You won't notice these but you will notice the following:

Fixed issues with comment counts for blog posts, user pictures, artwork and poetry

With regards to the new site I am currently open to suggestions on features that set us apart from other social network sites. When I started GoneGothic it was always my intention to create a community site and the same applies to the new site. We currently have features such as Artwork, Poetry and the Forum.

I am interested in promoting features such as these, please feel free to give me suggestions.

Vampariah Since I never get premium or VIP, I think I'd like to have a special ability on the site. Since I am staying here as long as I live and I have made this site my home, I thought it would be a good idea instead of seeking invisibility, if you could keep me logged in at all times, so I am always on the users online section. It might be stupid, but I do log in every day - you know so people don't feel alone.

dav I've fixed the subject of the email to mention the correct username name now. I do intend to have mentions appear as notifications on the site, but not just yet.

You might have just noticed the @mention notifications are now working too.

Misanthropic_Nature To promote thread life in the forums, have a notification feature that can be turned on or off by the user that alerts the thread creators or other users in that thread of a new post, and give the OP the ability to mark said thread as dead or give them the option to delete/lock/kick user from the thread in question, so the admins wouldn't have to go and delete said thread as requested or wait for a certain time period for the thread to expire thus, giving the admins more room/time to mange the site.



Also if you want certain people to post in your thread have a mark or tag feature that would include said user in that one particular thread.

Sunspots Another quick suggestion.



When you hover over somebody's profile pic, it'll show age, location, etc. And then you can remove it from the top of their forum posts so things look neater, like they do when posting here.

Sunspots another suggestion for you! When you have premium or VIP and you check the box for cloaked comments in the Premium Extras list, I really think it should automatically make all of your comments private without having to check the box every dang time.

dav yeah the notification is coming, just didn't have time to add that in, so I left it as auto linking for now which is still fairly handy I think.

Sunspots OK, so that tagging thing looks great but I didn't get a notification about it. Will that be added to it? No point in an auto-link if the person you're mentioning doesn't know that you are, my opinion.

Sunspots Oh, and can we please get the invalid page number problem fixed in the forums? It gets really old clicking on the last page just to be told that it does not exist.
