The Wrong Message?

Fight the rage is the message,
Fight the anger and lock it within,
Fight the fire and the fury,
To let it out is mortal sin.

I say that the lesson is wrong,
This message is the sin,
To lock up our emotions,
To bottle them within.

Where would freedom be?
Where are the rights of men?
If we locked away our anger,
If we bottled it within.

Our world would be dark,
Torn and broke by a rift,
Tortured by black hearts,
Remember that anger is a gift.

All strength to the weak,
To carry their black crosses,
The fire to throw them off,
To prevent deathly losses.

Something must be done,
Given the masses a rageful fist,
And replace the subdued,
Let them see the red mist.

Let the anger be amplified,
The people can defy,
A crowd with a fury
And let their fury fly,

Stop the reckless hate
With a righteous light
Anger and fury release
So the people can fight.
