Project Pitchfork is amazing! When i was 17 a friend of mine returned from Germany with a mix tape that had all these amazing tracks on it. It wasnt til mid 90s that i found a way to obtain this import on CD thru Isolation Tank. Entities was the first album i picked up and 2 of my favorite tracks were Souls and The Refuge. Glad you enjoyed!

In 2017 I ordered through eBay a set of Gothic Compilation albums on CD. What I noticed was the majority of the songs were in German or at least another Germanic language. I'm trying to learn German at the moment and can pick up on some of the lyrics.

You're lucky, there's a Goth scene down here but our culture is still rather conservative in that we don't have access to a lot of Gothic stuff.

I don't have many Gothic friends and down here people don't socialize much. We pretty much keep to ourselves which is a disappointment. Makes it difficult to network.

Compilations are a great way to learn about bands. I used to have to use reviews from magazines to determine my next music orders. I learned about quite a few bands from good friends on GothWire.
I make playlists here now to share which is supposed to be sorta like a compilation.

Back in the day I found VF was good for me to learn about bands to get into. The Gothic Compilation got me into Bondage Fairies. LOL

I'm on Goth Wire too but I don't discover bands from it.

Another way I discover bands is from Playlists on YouTube. A few years ago, I studied IT and would listen to a lot of Industrial and Dark Wave playlists on YouTube while studying. Found some great playlists that way and I've been listening to them ever since.

Nah, it's still around but they changed their name to Hey Freaks. I'm on there when I got the weekend free.

I prefer the original name though.
