It got re-released recently, its on Switch, PC or whatever game system you use. Its originally an old SNES game from the 90s. That takes certain inspirations from the movie "Phenomena 1985" movie starring Jennifer Connelly

I absolutely love it, even though there's some fucked up moments in it.

Interms of game mechanics. Your goal is to escape, but you get tons of endings. Depending on what you pick, you get either the worst ending or the best ending.
The main enemy is a guy with a mask and hedge clippers, who will chase you around the mansion if he shows up. Sometimes you can fight him off if your panic meter is in the middle of, safe to panicked. Which makes it difficult to escape scissorman. If he suddently pops up then it likely will be game over. So if the panic meter is either (Too safe or too panicked) then you likely wont fight him off, and Game Over basically.
Its a very innovative game for its time. Good horror classic that wasnt shipped overseas from Japan. Though yes it has some messed up moments in the game.

That sounds fascinating and a lot of fun. You make me want to play computer games now! 👌😁

Not entirely relevant but in 2002 I went to the local show (what Americans would call a Fair) and brought a Mixed Showbag. It had heaps of random goodies in it including sampled CD's of computer games.
I tried one that was a horror game, the graphics weren't great. Anyway, I was playing it after working the nightshift and this monster just popped up screaming at me. I remember jumping with fright and spilling whatever I was drinking on myself.
That was a moment I realised computer games have changed drastically.
