I’ve been seeing way too many post lately of people harassing
scientologist, so I’ve been researching what its all really about.

Imagine if we just made our own religion on here. lol

I thought we already did, but if im wrong we need to get on this ...

As for religion being trash i differ in opinion. Religion whether its involving fake gods, gods in general or crystals and moonlight are just various ways that indiduals guide themselves to hope when needing inner strength. We can argue all day bout religions but we all have our ways of balancing ourselves.

I agree about that Nivram.
Its just a believe. better love the historie about it.
My girlfriend and i believe in love nothing els, i think its the best believe there is but yeah

True, but the problem is too much negativity has been done in the name of religion that more and more people are criticizing it. The ironic result is we're getting Athiest who are 'religiously' fanatical against religion. LOL 🤣

I read a book called 'Bare Faced Messiah' about L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology, it didn't fill me with warm fuzzy feelings or make me want to join.

Over the years I learnt more about it and watched the South Park episode featuring Scientology and the details were all correct.

Straying away from the topic and on a more positive note, when I discovered Sri Chinmoy and Sahaja Yoga it gave me the idea of making Jedi a religion. It sounds funny but if you combine practices from meditation and the philosophical quotes/points from Star Wars.....it could work!!

But reason why Abrahamic Religions such as Christianity and Islam has been very mainstream in society. Is one keyword
Loyalty. Or as the first commandment said "I am the Lord thy God. Thou shalt have no other gods before me"

Basically, Paganistic or other religions has the case where it gets blended into moral relativism, but there is no actual loyalty to that cause.

I was baptized as a Christian but to be honest I've always been a humanist.

I always felt that quote was misinterpreted, to me it felt like it meant 'God above all deities' as in those deities aren't false but fall under the one God. Just think, if that was preached the Christianization of early medieval Europe may have gone down a bit better. Even the Pagans of the day thought that their Gods were a part of something even greater, being the universe (God). Buddhism is a good example of what I'm trying to explain, they didn't claim other Gods as being false but adapted them into Buddhism.

But sadly instead, when the Romans took Christianity it was more of an Egoic Collective Mindset and about building an Empire.

Where I live, we don't talk to each other. It's so bad, I got an email from a local club asking for volunteers. I responded and a week later got no response, so I emailed them again, another week later and still no response. 😒

Also, other mundane social networks are just filled with either snobs or people just making stupid bitchy comments. 😒

So yeah, it's refreshing to have something like this with people I have more in common with. 😊

Atheists like myself are not "religiously" fanatical against religion because atheists don't have a religion to begin with. You don't understand the position of anti-theists, like myself.
First, there's zero proof that deities exist. Zero.
Religion and gods were created to explain what could not be explained before we had things like the scientific method.
Ex: We know that lightening is not caused by Zeus. We know that illness is not caused by demons.
Second, most of history's violence has been caused by religion, whether it's religion imposing against society or another religion.

The world is worse with religion.
