Does anyone collect anything in the Gothic subculture? Like Propaganda magazines or Gothic Beauty magazine or even certain articles of clothing. I've been collecting Gothic Beauty and books discussing goth subculture. I want to get a Propaganda magazine but cant bring myself to spend $70 on one.

Sadly where I life you can't get stuff like that. We had only one Goth shop that lasted 2005-2009. I collect anthng to do with Vampires but particularly books and DVD's. That's as close as I get to collecting Gothic subculture. : (

Ergh! I meant 'sadly where I LIVE'. Canberra's conservative but I think I've whinged about that a lot already.

I actually have a lot of Costumes/Costume Regalia and Masks. I would have never guessed I'd have such a collection.


I also have a lot of Swords and Knives. Spears.


Lots of Tools.


Tattoos. Heh.

ooh, ooh! I collect roller derby t-shirts. I mention that because roller derby tends to attract Goths and other alternative types! But most of all, anything to do with Vampires. Novels, documentaries books, movies, TV shows, documentary DVD's you name it!

I USED to collect swords. Having a keen interest in history (mostly early medieval) I gained a collection. It started with rapiers to Saxon swords, Viking, Katana and a Sabre. Now that I realise I don't have the smarts to gain a job with decent pay, I cut down. But I do have 7 swords left. Majority I fight with the rest I just use for practice.

I collect Bleeding Edge Goth Dolls (the 7" figurines not the 12" fashion dolls)
I have every standard issue doll from each series plus some of the special release variants. I have tried to get the variants I am missing but since they have been out of production for so long now it's difficult.

I've seen Gothic Beauty magazine for sale on their website and I have seen a couple of issues on eBay. I must be an old man now because I have trouble spending more than $5 for a magazine let alone $15-20.

I do find it interesting that a lot of older magazines are becoming desirable. Two decades ago you could grab magazines for $.50-2 each in lots on eBay and now I'm stumbling onto stuff from the 90s that are going for $30+ an issue. Hoping to just stumble onto them at a flea market or a cool shop one day.

I have a bottle of nail polish which was apparently used by one of The Cure at one point in time during their golden era. Not sure how much something like that would go for, the polish has dried up of course and the glass is starting to yellow, but it's an interesting piece of history anyway.

That's amazing! How did you get a hold of that?

I don't have anything that exciting. I got a bookshelf of DVD's, comics, graphic novels and books all Vampire themed.....that's the best I can do with a collection.
