Yeah....I get 'Mankind' refers to everyone but it feels more accurate to say Humankind. But anyway. A really good book about humanity is 'Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari.' Very informative and a real mind opener! ; - )

Point I was trying to make is you have Man and Woman but they are both Human. Considering that it feels more accurate to say Humankind because when someone says Mankind, to me it suggests only the male of the species. But then again....maybe I'm being pedantic? I don't know, it's just the first impression I get. In the book Sapiens the writer refers to humans simply as Sapiens.

I’m thinking you’re just trying to be balanced about it. The word mankind was probably made up by men since back then women didn’t have as much rights or certain privileges probably because rulers and emperor who were mostly men believed in crazy shit and enforced beliefs upon civilizations throughout generations like “men and only men are superior” and didn’t give women as much credit as compared to today. Thankfully it’s not like back then. Back then sucked in terms of everyone having rights.
